Sacrifice Wiki is a collaborative website about the game Sacrifice developed by Shiny Entertainment.
Sacrifice is a real-time strategy game that can be operated by Windows 98 and Mac OS 9.2 users. Players control wizards that are able to conjure spells and amass armies using magical energy known as mana. The objective of the game is to desecrate the enemy's altar.
The campaign of Sacrifice follows the story of a vagrant wizard known as Eldred. Once the tyrant ruler of Jhera, he wanders the ethereal realm in search of a home. Five Gods (Persephone, James, Stratos, Pyro and Charnel ) offer him solace, but Eldred must settle with one.
Soon, a war ensues after the Gods hear of a prophecy that foretells the emergence of a powerful and evil wizard named Marduk - a creature that Eldred helped create. Determined to rectify his wrongdoings, Eldred seeks out Marduk with the intent to destroy him. Meanwhile, the Gods' once harmless bickering transforms into all-out warfare.
