Lord Surtur has been away from home for a long time. I think he started to enjoy the time he spent with Persephone, but he missed his Lady Abraxus. – Zyzyx, the first time when Surtur is encountered

Lord Surtur is Stratos' level 4 hero.

Biography

Lord Surtur is leader of storm giants. According to Sacrifice's instruction, storm giants aren't Stratos's creation, they only lived in his lands and Stratos convince Surtur to serve for him. This covenant was probably sealed by marriage between Lord Surtur and Lady Abraxus. Peacuff days were over for giants's lord, after he hoster a guest from Elysium in his keep. It was famous druid Athelas and he was murdered by uknown perpetrators (quite possibly, someone serving Stratos). Angry Persephone declare war on Stratos and Surtur become her prisoner.

Arter a long time godness decide she need an aliance with Stratos, so she let Surtur return to his Empyrea. Depending on which god player choose to serve (Persephone or Stratos), Surtur' journey will be disturb by one of Charnel's wizards: Seerix in Surtur's Keep or Acheron in Mt.Orichalchis.

Right after his return, Lord Surtus is needed to protect Empyrea fromEmpress Sorcha and Ambassador Buta. If player failes in keeping Surtur alive this is end of his biography. If he survives, Surtur will have reunion with his wife and will be seen for the rest of game fighting at her side (until player or Marduk's forces kill him).

Name Etymology

Lord Surtur takes his name from Surtr, likewise a giant in Scandinavian mythology.
