Due to its considerably short cooldown, potential to inflict massive damage, and area of damage effect, Cloudkill proves to be a very useful spell in a Wizard's arsenal.
It is one of the most powerful spells in the entire game, lasting 30 seconds and following its target. This gives the user the opportunity to take out almost any guarded structure, or the ability to pressure an opponent, as well as damage the opponent.
In Polish version of the game this spell was translated as "Trująca Chmura" which basically means "poison cloud". The origin of this mistake is in reference to a spell used in classic table-top RPG games like Dungeons & Dragons. In those games, Cloudkill summoned a moving bank of poisonous fog over a set area that was notorious for immediately killing any living thing it came across.
